Two popular classes dealing with homeowner associations are being offered free to the public in April.
A class titled “Legal Aspects of an HOA” will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 12, at Tumbleweed Recreation Center, South Cotton Room, 745 E. Germann Road.
A class titled “Resolving Neighborhood Issues” will be held Monday, April 19, at the same time and location.
The Legal Aspects class will be facilitated by attorneys specializing in community association law and provides participants with a practical foundation of the legal components of homeowner associations.
This includes creation and enforcement of codes, covenants and restrictions (CCRs), homeowner rights, legal jurisdictions and obligations of homeowner associations. Participants must register by April 8.
The Resolving Issues class will focus on neighborhood issues and how they can be successfully resolved. Participants will explore specific examples and learn how to apply resolution techniques.
The classes are free, however pre-registration is required. To register, contact the Neighborhood Resources Division at 480-782-4320 or register by sending an email to neighborhood.programs@chandleraz.gov .
The HOA Academy is offered by Chandler’s Neighborhood Programs Division in partnership with The Leadership Centre, created in 1996 to provide residents with information, resources and tools that create and support effective community leaders.
