South Tempe State Farm agent Mary Contreras will host the firm’s 8th annual Pumpkin Patch event 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the agency, 2145 E. Warner Road.
The event is designed to build awareness through consumer education, and to reduce the cost of auto insurance with free windshield chip repair.
Bring a new teddy bear (no taller than 12 inches) to support the Care7 Tempe Crisis Center Teddy Program. These little bears are used to comfort children who experience some type of trauma or confusion caused by car accidents, fires or other emergencies. The event also includes refreshments, a charity car wash and activities for the kids.
An education specialist from the Tempe Fire Department will be available for questions, and kids will see a fire engine up close.
Driving MBA experts will be available to answer questions about teen safety driving.
Car wash donations will benefit a local high school DECA program.Â
