For the past 22 years, Tempe Diablos have honored teachers and faculty who exhibit outstanding leadership and ingenuity in their classrooms and professions. On Feb. 28, the volunteer philanthropic group presented more than $30,000 in cash awards to teachers in recognition of their achievements toward excellence in education. ‘This is an opportunity to focus on what is right in our educational system and to encourage teachers and staff alike to strive for innovative excellence in education,’ said Diablos President Scott Agnew. ‘It’s one of the most rewarding events we put on, and our pleasure to honor teachers and faculty for their determined commitment, through novel teaching methods and practices, to enhance the lives and learning of our children.’
