True stories above...I was there and commissioned during his first year. Nothing is good enough, no advice given on specific military class prep of military drills but would tear you down with problems and no solutions.
He would penalize you for having conflicting classwork stating that he doesn't care if it gets in the way of his program, however when he most certainly found out his career was over after multiple sexual harassment accusations and formal investigation he had no problem using his temporary status as a "Professor" to get a free masters degree and miss engagements he was in charge to be at making him a hippo crate. He's a smug little fuck who got broke off the first time we did a ruck march and his seniors ran past him; he limped into the office an hour later and gave everyone the day off cuz he was jacked up. The rest of us went to the gym and fucked up the weights for an hour. Bringing West Point mentality to Arizona State University was not a good match especially with those that had legit degrees in Engineering. Also, fuck that guy Im sure he has 2 friends of which he just met on Grinder...

I concur with the above comment wholeheartedly. Hammond bullies his subordinates brutally and relentlessly. His heart is in the right place but his use of "tough love" is well outside the appropriate range. I hope someone will reign him in before he does further damage.

After reading this article, I feel that maybe you should have interviewed all the Cadets who were under him. Those cadets could paint you a different picture of who he really was. He left such a negative image in the minds of Cadets that they even sought out other Officers to give them their oaths when they commissioned as Officers. He targeted cadets that he didn't like and targeted cadets who stood up for their beliefs and he bullied cadets. There were many cadets who dropped the program while he was the PMS instructor for ROTC at ASU.
