Kyrene’s Aprende Middle School now carries the nomination of an A+ school, awarded this year by the Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF). A+ schools are evaluated on student focus and support, active teaching and learning, curriculum, leadership, community and parent involvement and assessment data. The AEF evaluation team spent two days reviewing all data, visiting every classroom, and meeting with Aprende students, staff, parents and administrators. AEF’s Schools of Excellence Program aims to improve education in public schools by identifying and recognizing outstanding Arizona schools.
Aprende is located on Desert Breeze Boulevard, south of Ray Road, across the street from Desert Breeze Park.
