Great review of TOL. I saw the film at the premiere in Los Angeles so it had an air of great expectancy. When I walked out of the Bing Theater, I felt that I had experienced something truly grand, although there were some points during the cosmos scenes where I actually nodded off, more like being lulled to a deep relaxation then awakened by the crescendo of the loud symphonic music. As I walked out, I was walking next to 2 gentlemen, one of which clearly thought the movie was a dud. And, so it goes, it seems. You either are mesmerized by the film as I was or you just can't relate to it.

Be that as it may, Mark, I love your review, your writing is eloquent, engaging and spot on.
