l write this request in desperation and hope that l may connect with guidence in saving my apartment that l am so very grateful for through the help of ,Hope homeless outreach last july 2019, after being homeless for 10+ years in Tempe,Scottsdale.First in getting assistance for placement into temporary shelter and then a case worker assigned from a program l qualified for called "Rapid Rehousing". Please know that even before this program, l have maintained employment , as l don't look to burden the current over stressed homeless problem with a sense of entitlement that so many homeless expect without making any effort to contribute to receiving and then maintaining a healthy and progressive lifestyle change, to the best of their ability.I am looking for finantual assistance in help with my apartment rent that l have fallen behind for 2 months. While l am currently looking for employment elsewhere, do to the slowing of work related to"Covid". I have applied for stimulus check assistance 4 different times, since the first time, being April 16th, 2020, and have not received it. In addition, l have also applied for food stamps and unemployment and been denied.lt was my every intention to stay current and maintain an above average payment history ,as l go into my 7th month of this apartment l so appreciate and has taken my life to a level that l honestly thought l would ever have again.I am healthy and sober and have been giving back through my church, food bank feeding the homeless, even before finally getting my ,apartment.l share that to say l really do know the homeless journey and plan to stay working serving,in whatever capacity l can afford.Thank you for listening, and all that you do.

Exactly. This article is a propaganda piece. Homelessness is a drug and mental health problem. The more u cater to this group, the more word will get out and an influx from other homeless camps will occur. Which is what we see. These are not tempe residents going homeless typically. These are vagrants from out of town expecting free handouts. Tempe better wake up to this reality before it gets out of control here.

There need to be housing, apartment complex, resident housing for the homeless people with mental issues so that they can all be together and treated. I feel if they afr together somewhere safe and be able to get the treatment they need they would do so. Not having to feel so different because eaveryone there has the same problem. Everyone homeless is not homeless because of lack of finance or housing cost but because they need to be with other like themself. Housing the homeless and or mental illness people in a safe one location together. I have son who is falls in this situation. He feels so different he aould rather be with the homeless people.
