With the 31st pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected former Tempe product and Corona del Sol wide receiver Ricky Pearsall. With the Niners selection of Pearsall, the Aztecs now boast two first-round players in the last years, joining current New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Andrus Peat. Pearsall graduated from Corona in 2019 after climbing to state and national leaderboards before playing for Arizona State and Florida. His dedication to his craft and persistence in the game has paid off. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound wideout will now join the 2024 Super Bowl runners-up, led by former Perry quarterback Brock Purdy.Â
