COVID-19 prompts Tempe mayor to extend time for developers to get permits, reviews.

Tempe Mayor Corey Woods, in his first State of the City address on Oct. 30, focused on how Tempe is attempting to help businesses, residents and non-profits in the wake of COVID-19.

Chandler has extended its hours for the public to drop off General Election  ballots at City Hall.

Seven sites in Arizona, including the CVS pharmacy at 5975 W. Chandler Blvd., become operational this week for rapid-result COVID-19 testing as part of a 1,000-site initiative nationwide to help slow the spread of the virus by increasing access to testing.

Chandler residents are encouraged to take part in an online survey that runs through Nov. 15 to assist city planners with 2021-22 fiscal-year budget planning.

Chandler students may submit writing, visual arts and video entries in Chandler’s Creative Expression Competition.

Business development initiatives, strategic progress, challenges, opportunities and a glimpse into the city’s future will highlight Mayor Corey Woods’ 2020 State of the City report on Friday, Oct. 30.
